Wanaka Beer Festival is back for 2020!

We’re back for our fifth year with the best lineup yet to kick off summer properly. More than a dozen of New Zealand’s best and most-awarded breweries will be at the Wanaka Beer Festival 2020, serving up tasty craft beer at Three Parks – the home of Wheels at Wanake – against the backdrop of Mt Iron, the Pisa Ranges & Roys Peak.

If beer isn’t your beverage of choice, we’ll also be serving a fantastic array of local wine varieties, beer and spirit cocktails, Kombucha on tap and, of course, coffee. Not thirsty? Our local vendors are providing some of the best nibbles from around the world with plenty of local Kiwi favourites.

Tickets are on sale now! Don’t miss out on the best summer event in Wanaka.

Our Brewers

Based in Wanaka, B.Effect creates Central Otago Ales using wine-making techniques & Pinot Noir yeasts. We also make great sessionable Beers for the mountains and the lake. B.Effect is here to fill the need for quality craft beers in Wanaka that can be enjoyed out on the lake, up the mountains, or after a ride through Sticky Forrest. Just trying to help design the best lifestyle we can; by promoting & supporting leisure time. Because as Josef Pieper said: 'leisure is the basis of culture', and along with enjoying a good beer that resonates with us.

Newly acquired by a couple of hospo veterans - Beerworks is going through some well deserved & needed changes. New beers, new faces & a new way of delivering beers into your ungrateful mouths. Check out their stand & their Dodge beer bar!

Ground Up was inspired by Oli and Julian’s biggest obsessions (after beer), climbing and mountaineering, but also relates to how they run the brewery. Most of the beers are named after routes and climbs which they’ve either done or are on our ultimate tick list.

You've probably seen the t-shirt now drink the bear..the beer, the ginger beer. 'Made by two odd balls, united by alcohol, competition, and creativity - they convinced each other that it was a totally intelligent idea to brew with no previous experience, money, and still working a full-time job.' Sounds like they need it to work so go drink their stuff!

They brew with love, a fair whack of humour and also a lot of deliciousness..It all came about because the brewer wanted to drink beer with his mates..hey didn't they all..make sure to visit them, you really won't be disappointed.
