Comedy

Jeremy Corbett

Known as the Godfather of New Zealand Comedy, the host of 18 series of 7 Days is one of the most recognisable faces in New Zealand showbusiness. Born in Westport, raised in Palmerston North, living in Auckland, Corbett's part of the comedy furniture in this country but still loves to get out and do it live to a real crowd, without a teleprompter.

Justine Smith

Justine does not suffer fools. No she doesn’t. Those who know Justine will readily testify to the fact the she is one of the most honest comics you’re likely to meet. This combined with her razor sharp wit and biting commentary makes her one of the best comics around.

Justine is a regular face on our screens, THREE’s 7Days, The Project, TVNZ’s Have You Been Paying Attention, along with many stand-up shows such as AotearoHA, A Night At The Classic, After Hours, Stand Up Aotearoa, and many Comedy Galas – which she hosted in 2021. 2022 has also seen her as a stand out on Taskmaster NZ.

A leading light of New Zealand Comedy, Justine is just as comfortable in a theatre or a local bar in the country, one of the best.

Ben Hurley

Ben has conquered the toughest of crowds and reviewers alike and is adept at tailoring his material and persona to what the event requires. He consistently sells out shows at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and has toured to country many times, on his own as part of the Real NZ Comedy Tours and of course the 7 Days Live Tours.

Ben is widely recognised from his regular appearances on THREE's 7Days, The Project, and is now a regular contributor on TVNZ's Seven Sharp. He has had numerous other TV appearances with several Comedy Galas, AotearoHa, hosting After Hours, Funny Roots, @Seven, Ben & Steve World Famous In and most recently Patriot Brains.

2024 also sees Ben continue to fulfil a life goal of commentating cricket with the Alternative Commentary Collective, and chucking in a few thoughts about rugba league on the Mad Monday podcast. Of course, he'd rather be out in the middle, but this is a very close second. Like when they decide who wins by counting boundaries (never forget, never)
