Musicians

Killergrams

Killergrams are an Arrowtown, NZ, based recording project that have just soft released their brand-new EP "Lonely Nights In A Little Town". Killergrams is led by composer and singer-songwriter Tom Maxwell which includes a revolving door of friends and guest musicians including Ryan Fisherman, Elmore Jones and Holly Arrowsmith among others. Maxwell's voice sits on top of sparse acoustic guitars, delicate piano and lush vocal harmonies at one point, only to be suddenly surrounded by dense layers of distorted guitars and chaotic, crashing drums the next.

Tai Forrester

Tai Forrester, who is originally from Stewart Island and now a Wanaka based musician has been playing live music for 14 years. He is not afraid of the stage as he has opened for the Doobie Brothers, Tiki Taane, Black Seeds, Elvis Costello… Over the years he built up lots of experience in playing live music, live looping and beatboxing at weddings, events, pub gigs etc… so he knows what the perfect wedding/event needs. As a solo artist, he won Songstars Queenstown in 2014 with his song Guilty. He mainly plays covers with a ‘soulful blend of acoustic rumblings, peppered with a surprisingly powerful voice and precise playing’ as I quote The Source magazine. He is a wizard with vocals, guitar and looping!

DCB

Double Cream Brie bring with them their eclectic bag of goodies. Filled with the best Dance Edits, Remixes and Reworks of known and loved songs, DCB can't help but be a cheesy delight at any picnic, gathering and festival.

Louis Koopman band

A gathering together of some of Otago's finest musicians. The Louis Koopman band brings some brand new music ready to get vibes up at Beer fest 2023. Featuring a range of original music paired together with a light sprinkling of our favourite music from other artists.

Madison & Toby

Madison and Toby are a Wānaka based music duo playing all your favs - skilfully reimagined and infused with their signature acoustic charm. Madison’s vocals paired with Toby’s masterful guitar skills bring a unique charm to all your favourite hits. They are sure to get you grooving and leave a lasting impression.

Drum n Case

Drum n Case, the solo act that turned heads at the Wanaka Beer Festival previously, is back to electrify the stage once more. Known for a unique blend of live acoustic drumming and electronic dance music, Drum n Case stands out in the EDM scene, bringing an infectious energy that perfectly complements the festival's vibrant atmosphere. From nostalgic 90's hits to the latest EDM tracks, get ready for a performance that pulsates with life and rhythm, proving once again why Drum n Case is a must-see at the Wanaka Beer Festival.

Nick Munday

A DJ and producer originally from the wild Northern Pennines in the UK, is now based here in New Zealand. He started his journey in the UK club scene during the 90s, and his love for vinyl collecting and diverse tastes have led him to explore the world. Nick has become a fixture in New Zealand's festival, club, bar, and party scene.

Comedians

Harsh Vengurlekar

Harsh Vengurlekar comes from the land which is known for best rib eye in world, India. Nominated for best Newcomer stand up comedian in 2020.

Meghan McGill

Meghan first burst onto the comedy scene during the Wanaka flood of 2019 after too many fireball shots. She uses most of her stage time to chat about her life and inability to relate to most people. Meghan knows she’s awkward and did once get tangled in the mic cord on stage, but she’s sticking with it, ‘cause comedy is cheaper than therapy.

Shane Mulvey

Shane Mulvey This Irishman is Queenstown's resident craic dealer, nominated for 3 comedy awards in his first year on the mic nothing is off limits from Mexican jail cells to life as a new father Shane has a unique and often outrageous perspective on life that's not to be missed. Winner of the 2020 Queenstown Raw Comedy Quest

Sean Tinker

Seán Tinker is a Wicklow-born, Wanaka based comedian who is proudly the only comedian in a 60km radius. He is taking the South Island by mild storm with his stories and crowd interactions creating a relaxed atmosphere and a whole host of twists and turns. Winner of the 2021 Queenstown Raw Comedy Quest

Darren A Hill

For over 15 years Darren A Hill has been making audiences question their life choices. Performing in comedy hotspots all over the world, from Modesto, California, to Orepuki, Southland.
